Aston Wood Golf Club Wedding Photography

On Saturday 20th July, we had the pleasure of capturing Kerrie and Alex’s wedding day at Polesworth Abbey, followed by reception at Aston Wood Golf Club in Sutton Coldfield.

The celebrations started at the Bride’s sister’s house where the bridal party were getting ready. Whilst I was photographing the Bride’s stunning gown and fabulous Jimmy Choo shoes, her daughter / flower girl was my eager assistant. One of the shots Kerrie asked for was for her daughter to be trying on her wedding shoes. With the gown in the background, this is a beautiful photograph that I am sure will be brought out on her wedding day.

The ceremony was held at the beautiful Polesworth Abbey in Tamworth. Kerrie certainly arrived in style, in a self drive classic Mercedes. Her dad drove the car to the church, and then Alex drove to Reception. The driveway and gatehouse at the church were excellent for capturing photos of the little beauty (yes I am referring to the car, it was a beauty).

At the reception the weather started to look a little ropey, massive grey clouds were heading our way, so we cracked on with photos of the new Mr and Mrs Sutton and their gorgeous little ones, Neave and Grey. They wanted their wedding photos very natural and not too posey.

The speeches were brilliant, with plenty of laughs and embarrassing moments for the Groom, as all wedding speeches should be.

The most amazing moment of the day though which got me choked up was after the couple’s first dance. Their two flower girls stood up in front of everyone and sang ‘A Million Dreams’ from The Greatest Showman. Oh my days, I’m filling up now typing this….

We would like to thank Kerrie and Alex for choosing us to capture your special day. If you would like to talk to us about your wedding photography, please give Vicky a call on 01827 215 707 or click here to drop us a message
